This is the best time to visit Ranthambore because it offers the opportunity to enjoy wildlife sightings in good weather. Also, the animals remain active in the morning and late afternoon. The animals are active, and you may spot tigers, leopards, deer, and birds during your safari. The park becomes green and fresh after the rains, and the landscape is also very beautiful. You can spot a lot of migratory birds if you go for a safari in winter, and they are especially seen near the lakes like Padam Talao and Malik Talao.

Summer Season (March to June)

The summer in Ranthambore is quite hot and may be unbearable for some travelers. This park experiences hot temperature in summer that ranges from 33°C to 42°C. It may not be comfortable for everyone to enjoy a safari in the heat waves, but this is also the best time to visit Ranthambore if you want some real wildlife sightings. During the hot season, many animals are seen roaming around the park easily because they go here and there to get water. They can be seen near the water holes and bodies cooling off and drinking from them. The chances of spotting tigers increase in summer because the park becomes drier. If you want to enjoy your time without problems, then try to go for a morning or an evening safari, as they are more comfortable than the daytime. Monsoon Season (July to September)

Ranthambore National Park remains officially closed from July to September due to the rainy season. The safari roads in the forest become muddy because of the rain, and it becomes unsafe for the safari rides. However, entries can be permitted inside some buffer zones, so you have to check with the forest department. You can come to the area and enjoy peace and calm during this season. The whole area becomes green and you can take some nice photographs. Also, hotels and resorts can be booked at lower rates because of the lower tourism. However, it might not be the best time to visit Ranthambore if you wanna enjoy wildlife sightings.
